The Emergence is a good Native American creation myth. It shows Native American culture values and there respect for the earth and animals. The Emergence is about the start of the worlds and how animals and people worked together to survive. The number four is used throughout this myth because to the Native Americans the number four is sacred to them. For example in the myth when it introduces birds, they are introduced as the four great birds. Revised Good Story: Downtown Street Racing
Two
men appeared out of nowhere, a few yards apart in the narrow, moonlit lane lies
Nissan 360 z. Niko Ventura and Tony Lopez enter into the car and drive to the
street race held in Downtown Los Angeles. There is a 25,000 cash prize to the
winner of the race and invitation to street race against the top street racers
in Madrid, Spain. Tony races mainly for the money, when Niko races for the
thrill and fun of street race in their home city. On the way to the race, they
stop at Tony's sleezy safe house to get his Mustang GT and speed to the
race.
When they arrive at the race there is about 15 other cars lined
up to race. Tony and Niko line their cars up as well and the king of street
racing in L.A. Ryan Speed waves a flag to indicate the drivers to start their
engines. Ryan throws the flag in the air and that starts the race! At the
moment the drivers take off, several cops pull out of nowhere and start chasing
all the racers. Niko and Tony see the cops behind them, though they are so
focused on winning, it doesn't even faze them.
The cops
start shooting electric treble hooks at the racers and if a hook attaches to
your car, the car malfunctions and the car will stop. Racers start dropping
like flies and only 5 cars are remaining. Niko and Tony are up in the front
racing against three other drivers that were also fast enough to avoid getting
hit by the cops. The drivers are half mile away from end marker and see that
there is a bridge made to open in half for boats to past through and the bridge
is up making a ramp for the drivers. Tony doesn't risk jumping over the bridge
along with 2 other drivers, while Niko embraces the jump with only one other
driver also attempting the jump. Niko clears the jump while the other driver
crashed n burned. Niko wins the race and receives his money, street credit, and
a trip to Spain to race!
